However, the accumulated points of the FIVB world ranking will be calculated in stage 2 of the SEA V.Cup 2026 tournament taking place in Thailand from August 7 to August 9. 8.
The regulations of the International Volleyball Federation FIVB have announced that regional international tournaments are only counted for achievements in 1 round (if many rounds take place) to accumulate points on the FIVB ranking.
The SEA V.Cup 2026 tournament calculates accumulated FIVB ranking points in stage 2. This was done with the recent men's event.
As a result, the first leg of the men's event held in the Philippines did not count accumulated FIVB ranking points based on the competition results of the teams. The second leg held in Indonesia has calculated accumulated FIVB ranking points.
Last year, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team was the host of stage 2 of the SEA V.League 2025 (the previous name of the SEA V.Cup) and won the championship.
However, this year, the Southeast Asian Volleyball Federation awarded us the right to host the first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026 Tournament. The second leg will be held in Thailand.
The squad of 14 female players of Vietnam registered to participate in the first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026 includes: Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Vi Thi Yen Nhi, Nguyen Thi Tra My, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Huynh Phuong Thuy, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Bui Thi Anh Thao, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Le Nhu Anh, Le Thanh Thuy, Luu Thi Hue, Nguyen Khanh Dang and Ca Thi Tu.
