The new salary and bonus regimes according to the advanced special level for coaches and athletes will be applied from February 15.

Today, February 15, Decree 349/2025/ND-CP of the Government on Regulations on regimes and policies for members of sports teams participating in concentrated training and competition takes effect. Vietnamese coaches and athletes receive significant attention from here.

When Decree 349/2025/ND-CP is applied, the regimes and policies for national sports coaches and athletes will no longer be implemented according to Decree 152/2018/ND-CP (dated November 7, 2018) Regulating a number of regimes for coaches and athletes during training and competition.

Many new points are implemented according to the provisions of Decree 349/2025/ND-CP. It is noteworthy that the bonus and wage (salary) for coaches and athletes have been specifically increased.

For ASIAD, each athlete will receive bonuses of 280 million VND, 170 million VND and 110 million VND corresponding to 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal, 1 bronze medal. Each ASIAD record will receive an additional 110 million VND bonus.

From this point on, athletes participating in the SEA Games will receive bonuses of 54 million VND, 30 million VND and 24 million VND respectively for each gold medal, silver medal and bronze medal. A SEA Games record holder will be rewarded 24 million VND.

In Decree 349/2025/ND-CP, the wage (salary) for each athlete of the national sports team is 550,000 VND/day, while each young national team athlete receives 430,000 VND/day. Preliminarily, each month based on practice days, each national sports team athlete will receive more than 14 million VND in wages, while young national team athletes will receive more than 11 million VND.

Meanwhile, the head coach of the national sports team starts receiving a salary of 1,100,000 VND/day, while the coach of the national sports team receives 750,000 VND/day.
