The final match of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament - Northern region qualifiers is an exciting competition between the Vietnam Banking Trade Union and the People's Public Security Trade Union.
Although considered to be better in terms of strength and form, when possessing a squad of stars from 7-a-side football, the Vietnam Bank Trade Union could not penetrate the opponent's solid defense throughout the official competition period.
From the first minutes, the Vietnam Bank team proactively pushed up the formation, creating continuous pressure. The most outstanding player in the first half was Nguyen Xuan Sang ( Sang Persie). He continuously stirred up the opponent's defense but was a bit unlucky to get the opening goal.
In the second half, captain Nguyen Anh Son - the "conductor" in the playing style of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union was closely marked, causing the team's attack to become a deadlock.
Although their corner kicks continuously caused a storm, goalkeeper Pham Thanh Tung of the People's Public Security Trade Union had a brilliant day of competition, making many miraculous saves.
The one-sided game continued until the end of the 60 minutes of official play without any goals scored. The two teams were forced to determine the winner by a tense penalty shootout.
With steel bravery, the People's Public Security Trade Union overcame a very strong opponent, the Vietnam Bank Trade Union, to win 5-4, thereby bravely winning the Northern qualifying round championship.
At the end of the Northern qualifying round, 6 teams qualified for the final round of the National Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament: People's Public Security Trade Union, Vietnam Bank Trade Union, Hai Phong City Trade Union, Bac Ninh 1 Trade Union (teams entering the semi-finals) and Hanoi City Trade Union, Bac Ninh 2 Trade Union (the team winning the play-off).
