On August 7, at the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong chaired a conference to collect experts' opinions on the draft Decree to replace Decree No. 152/2018/ND-CP dated November 7, 2018 of the Government regulating a number of regimes for sports coaches and athletes during the time of training and competition.
At the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh - Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports reported on the Draft Decree on Regulations on policies and regimes for members of sports teams participating in training and competition.
Accordingly, the draft proposes to increase 100% of salary according to actual training and competition days as follows: Head coach of the national team is 1,010,000 VND/person/day; National team coach is 750,000 VND/person/day; Head coach of the national youth team is 750,000 VND/person/day; National youth team coach is 540,000 VND/person/day...
In addition, it is proposed to increase the salary for National Team Athletes to 540,000 VND/person/day; National Youth Team Athletes to 430,000 VND/person/day...
Previously, according to Decree 152, the salary of the National Team Head Coach was 505,000 VND/person/day; National Team Coach was 375,000 VND/person/day; National Youth Team Head Coach was 375,000 VND/person/day; National Youth Team Coach: 270,000 VND/person/day...
The salary of the National Team Athletes is 270,000 VND/person/day; The National Youth Team Athletes is 215,000 VND/person/day...
Also according to the Draft of the new Decree, the nutritional regime of coaches and athletes at all levels of the national team is proposed to increase. Specifically, the regime of the National Team is 405,000 VND/person/day; The National Youth Team is 405,000 VND/person/day.
In particular, the Draft also mentioned other specific spending levels for coaches and athletes called up to the national sports teams preparing to participate in the SEA Games and the ASIAD Olympic Games to enjoy a nutritional regime of VND 607,000/person/day for no more than 90 days.
Regarding the special regime, athletes with excellent achievements are entitled to a monthly subsidy regime according to the following specific levels: Olympic Medal VND 40,000,000/person/month; ASIAD Gold Medal VND 20,000,000/person/month; Passing the qualifying round to participate in the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games Medal: VND 10,000,000/person/month.
Accordingly, the subsidy period is for 4 years from the time of achieving achievements at the Congress to the next Congress.
