Recently, the Information Corps women's volleyball club held a launching ceremony for the 2025 season. The army team took up the task, and is expected to have improved its expertise and achievements, in the context of the changing head coach position.
Accordingly, Mr. Pham Van Long was appointed to the above position after parting ways with Duc Giang Chemicals. This reunion is important for the Information Corps team. Coach Pham Van Long is one of the top names in Vietnamese volleyball and has been involved in Army volleyball for more than a decade.
Mr. Long once led the Information Corps women's volleyball team but ended his work in 2017 when he retired according to regulations. During his 17 years of coaching, he has helped the army team win the national championship many times as well as won many noble trophies.
When returning to his old home, coach Pham Van Long felt worried about his health. However, this coach affirmed that his enthusiasm is still a lot. Admitting that Vietnamese women's volleyball in general and the Information team in particular have changed a lot, coach Pham Van Long believes in the journey ahead when he and his students share the same strength as soldiers.
"When I first started playing sports until I became an athlete and coach, I was attached to the Army team. The military environment has helped me grow up a lot, associated with the ups and downs in my career. We inherit the solidarity, collective spirit, "training hard to become talented, working hard to become good" of the Army environment.
Therefore, I believe it will not be difficult to connect athletes in the club. I believe that every time we play, we go to the battle and the spirit of the soldiers will help the team complete the task well.
I really want the club to have more solidarity and discipline, while building the spirit of overcoming difficulties and the desire to win from the generation of talented athletes to the first team", coach Pham Van Long expressed.
In the immediate future, this coach and the Information Corps women's volleyball team will participate in the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025. They are in Group B with defending champions LPB Ninh Binh and Thai Binh. This is a warm-up tournament before the whole team enters the competition in phase 1 of the 2025 national championship.
Main striker Pham Thi Nguyet Anh continues to be trusted as captain this season. Fans expect the hitter from Quang Binh and her teammates to play well, showing their spirit and playing style.
Famous for being strict and determined with his students in training and competition, coach Pham Van Long's voice and training methods will be highly unified, helping athletes regain their spirit. This is one of the factors that makes the Information Corps fans believe in a successful season for the team.
