The 2025 National Volleyball Championship is expected to have many foreign players, creating great attraction for this year's tournament.

Recently, at the signing ceremony, announcement of sponsors and draw for the first phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, coaches of all teams expressed their determination to achieve high professional results in this year's tournament.

The competition format and organization of this year's tournament are no different from the 2024 season.

One of the factors that has received attention is foreign players. Currently, the national championship and national A-class tournaments all have foreign players participating. According to experts, the appearance of foreign players has partly helped improve the quality of Vietnam's domestic volleyball tournaments.

Achievements are the biggest deciding factor for each team to add foreign players to increase. The teams will have the same opportunity to hire and borrow foreign players. The regulations clearly stipulate that each team is allowed to register a maximum of 2 foreign players and only 1 player is allowed to compete on the field at any time.

According to research, currently, 15 teams of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship have raised the issue of hiring foreign players for phase 1. The only team that has confirmed that it will not add foreign players in the upcoming period is the Hanoi men's club.

The rest, most clubs have selected suitable foreign players. However, information about them is still kept secret. It is expected that most of the foreign players will be present in Vietnam in early March.

According to the forecast, foreign players in the 2025 National Volleyball Championship will continue to come from developed volleyball regions in the region and internationally, but the majority will be Thai and Chinese players.

Since the national volleyball championship allowed clubs to hire foreign players, many clubs have not hesitated to spend big to own quality foreign athletes.

Mostly, contracts between teams and foreign players are only short-term, serving immediate goals. But in the national championship, it is not uncommon for teams to stay with foreign players for a long time when they find a common voice and harmony in their tactical playing style, typically foreign player Warisara (Thailand - who played impressively for LPB Ninh Binh in the 2024 season.

With the appearance of foreign players, it will certainly help the quality of the national volleyball championship continue to improve. From there, the players will also learn more tactics and playing styles from foreign players.

This is also a motivation for the teams to prepare carefully, ready to bring the audience beautiful matches with high professional quality.

The influence of foreign players is not controversial, even the success or failure of some clubs is also at foreign players. Foreign players are an important factor, even playing the role of changing the situation in each match to help the home team realize the goal of winning.

Phase 1 of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship will start from March 22 to March 31 at Dong Anh Stadium (Hanoi). From now until the tournament takes place, the coaches of the teams will be carefully prepared so that foreign players can soon integrate with the playing style, ready for the goals set by the club.
