The coaching staff of the Vietnamese archery team has just decided to replace archer Le Quoc Phong in the ASIAD 20 competition list.
Le Quoc Phong is being professionally prepared to train in Japan and participate in ASIAD 20.
However, this male player just suffered an injury that could not recover in time, so he soon said goodbye to ASIAD 20.
Le Quoc Phong has been named in the list of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation for ASIAD 20.
Because Quoc Phong could not compete, the Vietnamese archery team chose archer Nguyen Minh Duc to replace him.
Thus, Nguyen Minh Duc will receive a ticket to participate in ASIAD 20.
Le Quoc Phong's forte is competing in the recurve archery event. The Vietnamese archery team will conduct training for recurve archers in Japan this weekend.
Quoc Phong will not go to Japan for training as planned and will replace Nguyen Minh Duc in the position.
Despite the absence of Le Quoc Phong, the Vietnamese archery team still has enough force of 6 archers (3 men, 3 women) registered to participate in the recurve events at ASIAD 20.
This force of 6 archers was trained in Japan for more than 2 weeks and then moved to Aichi-Nagoya to participate in ASIAD 20.
Archery of ASIAD 20 will kick off on September 26. The Vietnamese archery team aims to compete for medals at this Games.
