The competition program on February 7 in India witnessed the Vietnamese shooting team win another bronze medal.
Results obtained in the men's 50m pistol event. The Vietnamese shooting team has Pham Quang Huy, Lai Cong Minh and Nguyen Dinh Thanh participating in the shooting event.
At the end of the individual qualifying round, no shooter achieved the highest score to win a medal. However, by team points, the Vietnamese men's shooters held 3rd place to receive a bronze medal. The men's 50m pistol team champion is the Indian team. The silver medal is the Uzbekistan team.
On the same day of competition, the Vietnamese shooting team is waiting for shooters Le Thi Mong Tuyen and Phi Thanh Thao to win medals in the women's 10m air rifle event.
Unfortunately, no shooter was successful. Phi Thanh Thao passed the qualifying round, participating in the final. However, she only held 6th place in the final with a score of 164.8. Shooter Le Thi Mong Tuyen did not pass the qualifying round. She ranked 25th in the qualifying round (614.8 points).
Currently, the Vietnamese shooting team has 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal at the 2026 Asian pistol and rifle Championships. The tournament will be held until the end of February 14.
According to the schedule on February 8th, Vietnamese shooters will compete in 2 notable events: men's standard 25m pistol, men's and women's mixed 10m air rifle.
