The Vietnamese women's volleyball team started training at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports from May 26 after gathering on May 25.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will call up 14 players in the first phase of 2026 including: Dang Thi Kim Thanh, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Le Nhu Anh, Le Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Vi Thi Yen Nhi, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Ly Thi Luyen, Le Thi Yen, Dinh Thi Thuy, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Doan Thi Xuan. This is the force that will participate in the AVC Cup 2026 in the Philippines from June 6 to 14.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's squad is still not enough players because Dang Thi Kim Thanh is playing with the Ho Chi Minh City women's team in the National League A 2026 in Dien Bien. This hitter only managed to join the Vietnamese women's volleyball team after the above tournament ended (May 30).
Dang Thi Kim Thanh once had the opportunity to return to the Vietnamese women's volleyball team in the final preparation stage before SEA Games 33 in November last year. After that, she was included in the list of 14 official players competing at SEA Games 33 and won a silver medal.
This year, Dang Thi Kim Thanh played for VTV Binh Dien Long An team in round 1 of the 2026 National Club Championship in Dong Anh (Hanoi). However, she did not compete in the Hoa Lu Cup 2026 and Hung Vuong Cup 2026 with this team due to professional programs with her managing team Ho Chi Minh City.
