Striker Dang Thi Kim Thanh officially joins the Vietnamese women's volleyball team in Bac Ninh.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will start gathering from May 25. However, Dang Thi Kim Thanh cannot participate because she has to compete in the 2026 National Volleyball League A in Dien Bien with the Ho Chi Minh City women's team.
This hitter finished her competition in Dien Bien on May 30th. After that, she was given the opportunity to return to Bac Ninh to focus on national duties.
Thus, head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has enough 14 players for AVC Cup 2026 including: Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Le Nhu Anh, Le Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Vi Thi Yen Nhi, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Ly Thi Luyen, Le Thi Yen, Dinh Thi Thuy, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Dang Thi Kim Thanh, Doan Thi Xuan. This is the first training session of Vietnamese women's volleyball players.
The coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team includes head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet, assistants Nguyen Ngoc Dung, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa and fitness expert Karl Lim.
The plan for the players to go to the Philippines will be on June 3. After that, the whole team will enter the competition at AVC Cup 2026 from June 6 to June 14.
Last year, Kim Thanh was concentrated in the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team at the end of the year. At the same time, she won a spot in the list of 14 official players to participate in SEA Games 33 and won a silver medal in Thailand.
Kim Thanh can play as a middle blocker and opposite hitter according to the tasks set by the coaching staff.
