Immediately after the 2026 Asian Youth Jujitsu Championships closed, the 2026 Asian Championships competition program continued in Kazakhstan.
On July 18 Vietnam time, we won the first gold medal in the program of the 2026 Asian Championships.
The championship result belonged to martial artist Tran Thi Thanh Ha. She won the championship when she competed excellently in the 52kg women's Fighting event.
This is an event that attracted 5 martial artists to participate, in which the Vietnamese team has Tran Thi Thanh Ha and Vuong Tran Hoai Thuong participating.
The martial artists had to compete in a round-robin format to calculate direct points, awarding the championship to the person with the best results. After the matches, Tran Thi Thanh Ha won the overall number 1 position.
In addition to Thanh Ha's gold medal, the Vietnamese jujitsu team temporarily achieved 4 more bronze medals in the competed events with the results of Vuong Tran Hoai Thuong (52kg women's Fighting), Vu Thi Anh Thu (63kg women's Fighting), Tran Viet Hoan, Dao Hong Son (56kg men's Fighting).
The 2026 Asian Championship will continue until July 19, local time in Kazakhstan.
This year's tournament attracted 355 athletes from 24 teams registered to compete.
The Vietnamese jujitsu team sent a force including many key players to prepare for ASIAD 20 and achievements in Kazakhstan to assess expertise in order to adjust most thoroughly.
