On the evening of May 17, the 2026 World Jujitsu Contact Championship closed after the final matches in the final events ended.
The Vietnamese jujitsu team won more medals on the last day, including the gold medal in the women's 63kg category in the contact HIF U21 age group event of martial artist Tran Hong An.
Throughout the tournament, the Vietnamese Jujitsu martial artist achieved a total of 14 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
The 2nd place on the medal table is the Turkmenistan team (12 gold medals, 11 silver medals, 17 bronze medals) while the third place is the Kazakhstan team (10 gold medals, 13 silver medals, 16 bronze medals). The tournament has had 13 teams win medals after competing.
This year's tournament attracts 245 martial artists from 16 teams to participate. The competition program is only for men's and women's events for contact techniques (using locks, straining, breaking) for the champion system and the youth group U18, U21 men and women.
The Vietnamese jujitsu team has 10 athletes participating in the competition. In the achievement of 14 gold medals, some results belong to martial artists Dao Hong Son, Phung Thi Hue, Tran Hong An, Hoang Thi Nhat Que, Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc...
In June this year, the Vietnamese jujitsu team will prepare to participate in the 2026 Asian Youth Championship and Championship held in Kazakhstan.
