Vietnam U20 Women's Team ends training in Japan

U20 Vietnam women's team has completed a 10-day training trip in Japan with many achieved results.

This is a valuable overseas training session in preparation for the 2026 U20 Asian Women's Championship qualifiers of the entire team. During the 10 days of stationed in Hamamatsu city ( Shizuoka province), Thanh Hieu and his teammates had a total of 5 friendly matches with opponents from local universities and high schools.

In the last 2 matches against Shizuoka University of Industry and Aichi Toho University, the results were 0-2 and 1-6, respectively, the Vietnam U20 women's players have really learned many lessons and experience in competition from their opponents.

Amor about the training trip, head coach Okiyama Masahiko said that the coaching staff will continue to learn from the players' experience and make some adjustments after the training trip in Japan.

According to the plan, on July 21, the Vietnam U20 women's team will return home. The team will continue to station at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center until the tournament day. Coach Okiyama Masahiko and his team will have more than 2 more weeks to prepare.

In the 2026 U20 Asian Women's Qualifiers, the Vietnamese girls will host Group B against Singapore, Hong Kong (China) and Kyrgyzstan on August 6, August 8 and August 10, respectively.

The matches will take place at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center and will be broadcast online on the social networking channels of the Vietnam Football Federation.
