Nearly 2,000 athletes participate in Tien Phong Half Marathon

The first Tien Phong Half Marathon - 2025 closed at noon on December 14 in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of nearly 2,000 athletes.

With the theme "Green Journey - granting Trust, Receiving Happiness", the first Tien Phong Half Marathon - 2025 is a journey to spread the spirit of positive living, arousing awareness of environmental protection, creating a healthy lifestyle, thereby contributing to honoring the image of Ho Chi Minh City as dynamic, friendly, modern and vibrant.

This year's tournament includes three competition distances: 21.1 km, 10 km and 5 km for both men and women. The 21.1 km distance is divided into 5 age groups from 16 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59 and from 60 and above, creating opportunities for all runners to challenge themselves. The time limit is set at 3 hours and 30 minutes for 21.1 km, 2 hours and 30 minutes for 10 km and 1 hour and 30 minutes for 5 km respectively.

The athletes competed on the morning of December 14. The cool weather around the running routes has helped athletes have a memorable experience in the first time the tournament was held.

In addition to professional and amateur athletes, this Half Marathon also attracts the participation of many beauty queens and celebrities such as My Van, Phuong Thy, Nhat Le, Thanh Binh, Chau Tuyet Van... contributing to creating a vibrant atmosphere for the event.

Sharing at the event, Mr. Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee - emphasized the theme "Green Journey - Giving Trust, Receiving Happiness", the tournament is a journey to spread the spirit of positive living, arousing awareness of environmental preservation, creating a healthy lifestyle, thereby contributing to honoring the image of Ho Chi Minh City as dynamic, friendly, modern and vibrant.

"We hope that each run of the athletes at the tournament will not only aim at the finish line ahead, but also convey the aspiration for a green - sustainable - happy future to everyone," said Mr. Phung Cong Suong.
