
The closing ceremony and award ceremony was attended by leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, including Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Pham Huy Binh - Director of the Department of Tourism; Mr. Nguyen Trung Hinh - Vice President of the Vietnam Athletics Federation, Vice President and General Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Athletics Federation, and representatives of departments, branches, partners, sponsors and athletes.
This year's tournament recorded the participation of many domestic and international athletes. In the women's marathon distance, athlete Pham Thi Hong Le won the championship position.
In the men's half marathon distance, the competition between Duong Minh Hung and Pham Ngoc Phan took place fiercely when the two athletes finished almost at the same time with a time of 1:09:25. In addition, the number of young athletes participating in 5km and 10km distances has increased significantly.
In the men's marathon (42.195 km), athlete Ayalew Seleshi Simaneh (Ethiopia) won the championship with a score of 2:23:13. The next positions belonged to Wondale Melsew Baye, Kebede Leta Girma, Damte Wendwesen Tilahun (all of whom are ethiopian citizens) and Kogei 8: 8:00 (Kenya).
In the women's marathon event, athlete Pham Thi Hong Le won first place with a record of 2:480. The next positions belonged to Mohamed Yenework Husen, Birehan Marta Tinsae, Zega Mestu Sirabzu (Ethiopia) and athlete Doan Oanh.

At the end of the season, 108 athletes, community clubs and businesses with achievements were honored in the final and age groups.
Sharing after the tournament, athlete Pham Thi Hong Le said that the victory was a recognition of the efforts in training and perseverance of Vietnamese athletes when competing in an international marathon right in their hometown.
According to Mr. Pham Huy Binh - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the marathon has become a typical tourism product of the city, with a combination of sports, culture and tourism, contributing to attracting tourists and improving the experience.
Representing the sponsor, Ms. Thai Minh Diem Tu - Marketing Director of Techcombank Bank said that the race is a platform to spread the spirit of "Running for a superior Vietnam", contributing to building a healthy community and supporting the implementation of people's physical improvement goals.
