On the afternoon of November 3, a press conference was held in Hanoi for the 12th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Open Table Tennis Tournament in 2025.
The tournament is an annual sporting activity of the capital, aiming to celebrate major holidays of the year and continue to maintain the table tennis practice movement in the community. This is also a place for gathering and exchanging between professional and amateur tennis players across the country.
This year's tournament will take place at Cau Giay Stadium (Hanoi) from November 7-9, 2025, with the participation of nearly 400 athletes from 80 units nationwide, competing in 12 events.
Notably, the number of teams registered in the men's team event increased sharply compared to last year, showing the increasing attraction of the tournament.

12 events are competed in all age groups and levels, including: men's singles, advanced men's team, men's amateur team, men's singles and women's singles in different age groups, along with men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
The organizing committee stipulates that each athlete is allowed to participate in a maximum of 2 events to ensure progress and professional quality. The tournament applies the Table Tennis Competition Law of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, using DoubleFish 235 green tables and a national standard carpet system.
The total prize value is more than 160 million VND, an increase of 10% compared to 2024. The teams, doubles and individuals with high rankings will receive cups, flags, medals and bonuses.
