The tournament is organized by the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports entrusted to Ca Mau to host, aiming to celebrate major holidays of the country, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Physical Education and Sports (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2026).

According to the organizers, this year's tournament gathers 160 ironball athletes, of which the Ca Mau delegation has 13 athletes, including 9 men and 4 women. Athletes compete in 7 events: men's team, women's team, men's technical team, women's technical team, men's - women's technical team, mixed team 2 women - 1 men and mixed team 2 men - 1 women.
The tournament takes place from March 27 to April 5, and is one of the important tournaments in the national annual competition system.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province - said that the tournament aims to assess the quality of training and coaching of athletes in localities and units. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for athletes to exchange and accumulate experience, thereby discovering and selecting typical factors for the national team.
Besides professional significance, the tournament also contributes to promoting the image of Ca Mau land and people to friends throughout the country.
