The national volleyball tournament is the foundation for the Vietnamese women's team

The national volleyball tournament is an important foundation to help players compete and accumulate expertise for the Vietnamese women's team towards international tournaments.

The National Volleyball Championship is one of the most important tournaments in the domestic competition system.

The 2026 season promises an unpredictable situation and high competitiveness. Notably, this season witnessed a shift in players between clubs.

Strong teams such as VTV Binh Dien Long An and LPB Ninh Binh no longer maintain the same fixed force as previous seasons. Meanwhile, Hanoi's newcomer recruits a series of quality contracts.

This makes the championship race more unpredictable and teams all have the opportunity to compete fairly. Thanks to this, the matches in the tournament take place at a high level of expertise and attract the attention of fans.

The balance of forces between teams in the national championship brings direct benefits to the national team. When players have to compete for a starting spot in the club's colors, they are forced to improve their form, bear competitive pressure and adapt to many different situations on the field.

This is a good condition for coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and the coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's team to recruit personnel for international campaigns.

In addition to familiar pillars such as Thanh Thuy, Bich Thuy, Kieu Trinh, Vi Quynh, Lam Oanh..., excellent players who perform stably in the national championship will have the opportunity to be included in the team list, especially when the team needs quality forces before major tournaments.

This is even more important in the context that the Vietnamese women's volleyball team plans to compete in many international tournaments in 2026. The first is the SEA V.League including two stages. Last year, the Vietnamese women's team won stage 2 and the goal is to protect that achievement.

Performances at the national championship will be a measure for the coaching staff to assess the fitness, form and adaptability of each athlete before entering the SEA V.League tournament.

In addition, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team also participated in the AVC Women's Nation Cup held from June 6 to 14 in Candon, Philippines. This is a continental tournament with the participation of many strong teams and Vietnam entered the tournament as the defending champion.

Preparation from the national championship helps the coaching staff choose the right squad, find the best players to compete in the SEA V.League and AVC Women's Nation Cup.

The national volleyball championship is not only a playground for clubs to compete for titles, but also a practical measure for the quality of the national team's personnel. Fair competition between teams helps players practice skills, maintain form and prepare mentally to face international opponents.
