According to the competition schedule issued by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, the second phase of the 2024 National Volleyball Championship will take place from November 7 to November 17 (women's event) and from November 21 to December 1 (men's event).
Accordingly, the women's event will be held in Lao Cai. The group stage matches will take place from November 7 to November 12 to determine the rankings. After that, the 4 teams with the best results will compete in the semi-finals and finals. The finals and classification rounds will take place from November 14 to November 17.
The 9 women's clubs participating in the second phase of the 2024 national championship are VTV Binh Dien Long An, LPB Ninh Binh, Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemicals, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Information Corps, Quang Ninh, Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement, Vietinbank, Geleximco Thai Binh, Hanoi.
Closing phase 1 (April 2024), the 3 teams temporarily leading are Information Corps (12 points), VTV Binh Dien Long An (11 points) and LPB Ninh Binh (10 points).
The remaining 6 positions are Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement (9 points), Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemicals (6 points), Vietinbank (5 points), Quang Ninh (4 points), Geleximco Thai Binh (4 points) and Hanoi (0 points).
Meanwhile, the men’s event will take place in Ba Ria Vung Tau. Specifically, the group stage matches will take place from November 21 to November 26, determining the four teams with the highest scores to enter the final round and the classification will take place from November 28 to December 1.
The 9 men's teams participating in the competition are Sanest Khanh Hoa, Border Guard, Tan Cang The Cong, Ha Tinh, Da Nang, Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Lavie Long An, and XSKT Vinh Long.
In phase 1, Sanest Khanh Hoa is temporarily leading the rankings (12 points), 2nd place is Border Defense (11 points) and 3rd place is The Cong Tan Cang (10 points).
The remaining rankings are Da Nang (6 points), LPB Ninh Binh (6 points), Hanoi (5 points), Lavie Long An (5 points), Ha Tinh (4 points) and XSKT Vinh Long (1 point).
According to the regulations, this year's season, in the men's and women's categories, there will be 2 teams relegated. However, in the 2024 National A-League, only 1 men's team and 1 women's team will be promoted.
The 2024 National Volleyball Championship is the last season to be organized with 9 men's teams and 9 women's teams. From 2025, Vietnamese volleyball will start to limit the number of teams in the national championship to 8 men's and 8 women's.
