On January 27, the Press Conference announcing the VTV Can Tho Pickleball Tournament 2026 - Nam Long Cup Competition took place in Can Tho City. The tournament is organized by the Vietnam Television Center for the Southwest Region - VTV Can Tho in coordination with Binh Minh Group (BMG). This is the largest-scale pickleball tournament ever held in the Mekong Delta region (Mekong Delta).

The tournament is expected to take place in two days, March 21st and 22nd. With the message "Promoting a dynamic lifestyle", the tournament aims to promote community sports, bringing pickleball closer to the people of the Mekong Delta.
The activity gathers about 500 athletes who are professional and semi-professional players and representatives of pickleball clubs from many provinces and cities across the country, with a total prize value of up to more than 2 billion VND.
At the press conference, journalist Vo Ngoc Van Quan - Director of VTV Can Tho - emphasized that through the tournament, the organizing committee wishes to build a bridge for exchange between athletes, the business community and sports lovers; contributing to promoting the mass sports movement.
The tournament has diverse competition content, suitable for many levels and audiences. In particular, the "Miss Pickleball" category appeared for the first time in the region, aiming to honor the image of modern, healthy, confident and dynamic Vietnamese women in sports. This is a humane highlight and deeply inspires the community.
