On the afternoon of November 24, the announcement ceremony of the VTV Cup 2025 pickleball tournament took place at Vietnam Television.
The tournament is jointly organized by the Vietnam Sports Committee - Television, the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports, the Public Sports Development Company (Usports) and related units.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Duc Hoang - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television said: "In recent times, VTV has organized many sports tournaments, from international women's volleyball, marathon, pickleball to buffalo fighting festival in Hai Phong... The important thing is that we are getting closer to folk and grassroots sports, aiming to encourage community sports across the country.
With the message 'Happy every day', the VTV Cup 2025 pickleball tournament will have the participation of more than 700 athletes. The organizing committee has invested and hopes to turn the tournament into a leading annual, large-scale and attractive event in Vietnam".
In the first edition, the tournament gathered excellent tennis players such as Truong Vinh Hien, Do Minh Quan, Ly Hoang Nam, Sophia Phuong Anh, Jolie Thien Lam, Sophia Huynh Tran, Vanshik Kapadia, Harsh Mehta...
At the tournament, athletes will compete in 9 events including: men's doubles, women's doubles, professional mixed doubles; men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles aged 34 and under; men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles aged 35 and over.
The VTV Cup 2025 pickleball tournament will take place from November 28 to November 30 at the US Pickleball Court Complex, Hong Ha Ward (Hanoi). This is a complex of 23 courts that meet American standards, are modern, and fully meet professional competition standards.
The tournament will apply MK Vision's IRS system including 10 AI cameras installed at key locations on the court, providing da- Perspective referees with easy replay operations from many angles, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
The total prize of the tournament is up to more than 1 billion VND for champions, Second, Third and individual awards... Notably, the title of VTV Cup 2025 Pickleball Miss is a highlight of the tournament, to honor the beauty, talent and role of female athletes in the pickleball community in particular and sports in general.
At the announcement ceremony, the Organizing Committee also launched a fundraising campaign to support the South Central region, calling on athletes, audiences and units to join hands for the community. The fundraising activity will take place from November 24 to November 30, 2025.
The VTV Cup 2025 pickleball tournament will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television, broadcast on VTV2 channel and VTVgo application.
