National Youth Pickleball Tournament held for the first time

Young tennis players are competing in the pickleball tournament for the first time in the national system dedicated to them.

The 2025 National Youth Team Pickleball Championship attracting nearly 280 players from 15 teams nationwide will officially compete from August 9 to August 10 in Hue city.

This is the first time the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports has organized a pickleball tournament for youth groups in the national system.

Mr. Mac Xuan Tung, head of the pickleball department (Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports) said: "This is the first time the tournament has been held.

Athletes must comply with the regulations in registering according to the content as well as have control over their level to avoid controversy when competing".

This year, the tournament will organize competition in five age groups including U11, U13, U15, U17, U19. Athletes have the opportunity to compete in men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed-women's doubles.

The organizing committee said the total prize is 130 million VND. The attention of experts is directed towards the registration list for the U19 men's team with the participation of many promising players such as Nguyen Ngoc Trung, Nguyen Tan Gia Hoang, Tran Quoc Dat, Le Chi Bach, Nguyen Gia Luong, Tran Khoa Ninh, Do Gia Bao, Trinh Vu Khang, Do La Viet Nhat, Pham Xuan Vu, La Duc Anh.

From the beginning of 2025 to now, the Department of Physical Education and Sports has organized two tournaments under the national system, the 2025 National Pickleball Championship and the 2nd pickleball Club Championship - 2025.
