On the afternoon of July 21, the launching ceremony of the MB Vietnam Open pickleball tournament under the PPA Tour Asia system took place in Hanoi.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Kimberly Koh - CEO of UPA Asia said: "MB Vietnam Open is a major development milestone of pickleball in Vietnam. Bringing the world-class tournament to Trinh Linh Giang's hometown and being a step to create the future of this sport. We are opening the way for professional development for local athletes and inspiring the next generation".

Previously, athlete Trinh Linh Giang won the men's singles championship at the Panas Malaysia Open 2025 pickleball tournament (under the PPA Tour Asia system) after an impressive victory over opponent India.
This achievement also helped the Vietnamese tennis player occupy the highest position in the men's event on the PPA Tour Asia system rankings in the first announcement. Therefore, the appearance of defending champion Linh Giang at MB Vietnam Open received the attention of fans.
"I am very excited to play at home, under the encouragement of the Vietnamese audience. I will devote myself to representing the colors of the flag, shirt and team," Linh Giang shared.
The tournament will take place from September 4-7 at Global City Sports Park (HCMC), marking an important milestone in the Vietnamese sports calendar and continuing to promote the strong development of the PPA Tour system across Asia.
