The final match at the Wiener Stadthalle complex (authrich) took place dramatically for more than two and a half hours. Zverev started strongly when he early cracked the opponent's serve game to win the first set 6-3. However, Sinner quickly regained his tempo, taking advantage of his stable attacking ability and accurate return shots to equalize 1-1 after set 2.
The decisive set witnessed the Italian tennis player's remarkable bravery and fitness. Despite a cramps in his left thigh in the 7th game, Sinner stuck to it, constantly putting pressure on Zverev to make mistakes. He won an important break in game 11, before ending the match with an accurate serve to win the championship.
"It started out not easy, but I tried to maintain my spirit and choose the right option at each time. Controlling my energy in the ball-casting games helped me overcome my physical difficulties and win," Sinner said after the match.
This is the second time Sinner has been crowned at Vienna after his first time in 2023, helping him equal legends such as Roger Federer and Andy Murray - tennis players who have won this tournament twice. Sinner has won 48 matches in the 2025 season so far and is aiming to conquer the Paris Masters with the ATP Finals.
