After the serious impact of storms No. 10 and 11, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province continued to issue a Decision to declare a state of emergency due to natural disasters in Then Van village of Pa Vay Su commune. This area has experienced serious landslides, with the risk of directly affecting the lives and property of 17 households with over 100 people.
In addition, 131 students, 36 teachers, medical staff and 23 households with 114 people living near the landslide area are likely to be affected in the long term, and there needs to be a plan to ensure safety.
Previously, in March 2025, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province also issued a Decision to declare a natural disaster emergency for Pa Vay Su commune when there was a high risk of landslides that could bury 47 households and 190 people.
After 2 flood seasons in 2024 and 2025, Pa Vy Su commune often experienced landslides and many cracks and subsidence. Since the beginning of October 2025, the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province has issued a Decision approving the Emergency Public Investment Project for Residential Stabilization in Ban Ngo commune, Pa Vay Su commune with a total estimated investment of over 274 billion VND, implemented in the period of 2025 - 2026.

The project implements emergency investment to relocate and stabilize households living in areas at high risk of landslides and natural disasters. Build essential infrastructure to serve daily life, production and necessary public works, ensure safety, life and property of the people, stabilize their lives, and create conditions for socio-economic development.
The People's Committee of Pa Vy Su commune has mobilized over 100 cadres, teachers, armed forces and people to support the relocation of the entire kindergarten to the commune police headquarters. Moving all students and equipment of Pa Vay Su Primary School to the headquarters of the old Commune People's Committee.
The authorities also moved the equipment and medical examination and treatment activities of Pa Vay Su Health Station to the old Health Station accommodation area. Some households in areas at high risk of landslides have also been moved to safety.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Khuong - Vice Chairman of Pa Vy Su Commune People's Committee - said that along with the implementation of investment projects to relocate people to areas at risk of landslides, the commune government has requested functional forces to put up warning signs in areas at risk of landslides.
"The authorities require households to move to a safe place when there is a warning of heavy rain occurring in the area. At the same time, forces are on duty 24/7 in risk areas to ensure the safety of people and property of the people", Vice Chairman of Pa Vy Su Commune People's Committee informed.
