In an interview before the "Three Lions" St Geogre Park training session, coach Gareth Southgate said that Harry Kane is very confident and this striker believes that at his age, Messi or Ronaldo could only do that.
This confidence of the 24-year-old striker is well-founded because he scored 10 goals for the England National Team in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. Moreover, in the last 3 matches, the striker currently on Tottenham's payroll has had 5 "shoots".
"He is in top form and of course always tries to be the best.
Harry knows where he is. I asked him how many goals he had scored, Harry never misunderstood any of his goals. He also knows well what Messi and Ronaldo have done at this age.
He is still developing every day. So why can't Harry go further to reach higher strides," said Coach Southgate.
Harry Kane just celebrated his 24th birthday last July. Thus, he has nearly 1 year left to equal the scoring achievement for the national tour of Ronaldo and Messi at the age of 25. At the age of 25, CR7 has 22 goals for the Portuguese national team while Messi's number for the Argentine national team is 26.
"I have always had great faith in Harry Kane, he is at the best stage of his career. I have met Harry since he was 21 and that time has been long enough for people to see and recognize his efforts," said Coach Southgate.
Harry Kane's England will host Slovakia in the 7th match of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers in Europe at Wembley at 1:45 a.m. on September 5.
