Identifying the identities of 5 victims of the boat sinking in Quang Nam

The Quang Nam Border Guard Command has identified 1 fisherman who died and 4 fishermen who went missing due to a sunken boat at noon on March 21.

The list of crew members of fishing boat QNa-91679-TS (Quang Nam) in distress includes: Nguyen Luan (death, born in 1966).

The 4 missing fishermen include: Phan Van Yen (born in 1996, Captain); Bui Van Thanh (born in 1973, crew member); Phan Van Tuyet (born in 1966, crew member); Luong Thai Hoang (born in 1970, crew member).

All 5 people in distress reside in Tam Quang commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam.

According to information from the Quang Nam Border Guard, at 12:05 on March 21, the Ky Ha Port Border Guard Station received a report of the sinking of fishing boat QNa-91679-TS.

The 26-meter long ship, painting, with a capacity of 823 CV, captained by Mr. Phan Van Thanh (born in 1971, residing in Tam Giang, Nui Thanh District, Quang Nam).

The ship left the An Hoa Border Control Station and Ky Ha Border Guard Station at 11:50 a.m. on March 20. On board the boat were 15 crew members, who had an accident while operating at coordinates 13°50N - 110°09E, about 130 nautical miles southeast of An Hoa Cape.

Fishing boats near the scene have rescued 11 crew members, of which 1 has died and 4 are still missing.

Border guards and fishing vessels operating around have been mobilized to support the search for the missing fishermen. The Quang Nam Border Guard Command has also reported the incident to the Naval Region 3 Command, the Coast Guard Region 2 and related units to coordinate the rescue.
