After the match on March 7, coach Mai Duc Chung said that the Vietnamese women's team has not shown the best form.
He shared: "Clearly the Vietnamese team did not perform well in today's match. The opponent also lost a lot of strength in the second half, but we did not take advantage of the opportunities well.
I congratulate the Taiwan (China) team for winning. We were just a little careless, losing focus means losing.
Assessing the reasons for the defeat, the coach of the Vietnamese women's team said that many factors have affected the performance of the players.
He commented: "Firstly, hot weather greatly affects the players' fitness. Secondly, we lose our composure, at some points we cannot maintain concentration, leading to poor coordination, and inaccurate volleyball. These are factors that make it difficult for us in the match.

Coach Mai Duc Chung also said that in the second half, the Vietnamese women's team improved their game and created more opportunities than in the first half. However, the effectiveness in finishing has not yet met the requirements.
He said: "In the second half, the team played better, creating more opportunities. However, due to inaccurate ball drops and inconsistent coordination, the attacks were not highly effective.
In addition, players such as Thanh Nha, Van Su, Duong Thi Van are also affected by hot weather, reduced fitness, leading to a clear decline in fitness.
Before the question about the Vietnamese women's team's chances of going further in this year's tournament, coach Mai Duc Chung said that the whole team will focus on each match instead of calculating too far.
He shared: "Currently, it is very difficult to calculate accurately because there are still many unclear factors. We will try every match, as said from the beginning of the tournament. We cannot rely on external factors, but must strive ourselves.
According to the schedule, the Vietnamese women's team will meet the Japanese women's team on March 10 in a decisive match for their chances of advancing in the group stage of the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship.
