More than 300 athletes participate in the National Outstanding Youth Tennis Tournament

This year's tournament attracted more than 300 players to compete for the highest achievement of Vietnamese youth table tennis.

The 2025 National Table Tennis Championship for Excellent Youth, Youth and Children will gather more than 300 players from 20 competing units in Dong Nai from August 24 to August 31.

The tournament regulations stipulate that players will compete in men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles for the age groups of U9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-18, 19-21, 22-23. The organizing committee drafts groups of round-robin events in the first stage. The second stage is a knockout round.

Representative of the Organizing Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province - Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Loan expressed: "This is a tournament for the best young tennis players of Vietnamese table tennis to compete. The tournament is also an opportunity for athletes to exchange, learn, improve their professional qualifications, and contribute to the development of Vietnamese table tennis to a new level".

General Secretary of the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation - Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai said that the top young faces of Vietnamese table tennis all participated in the tournament. Many exciting matches are expected to take place in the second phase.

This year, the Vietnam Youth Table Tennis Team won six medals at the 2025 Southeast Asian Youth Championship. In which, two tennis players Nguyen Duc Viet and Nguyen Van Tuan Anh won the gold medal in the U15 men's doubles. These players all play in Dong Nai.
