Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Hong Tien - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak, Head of the Organizing Committee - said that this is an important event to inspect and evaluate the work of training athletes, while discovering and nurturing young talents. The tournament is also an opportunity for local athletes to exchange, learn, and improve their professional qualifications.
The organizing committee requires referees to operate fairly and objectively; athletes compete honestly, unitedly, comply with the rules, and contribute to dramatic and exciting matches.
The tournament will take place at the Dak Lak Provincial Sports Stadium, and is expected to close on July 18.
This is the first national Karate tournament after merging provinces, cities and operating local governments at 2 levels, with a large number of athletes participating, including the national team, national youth team and first-line athletes from localities and sectors.
The tournament is an important occasion to select the next generation to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games in December 2025 and Asiad 2027.
