The opening ceremony and the first leg of the tournament with 20 races around Tuyen Quang City, each round is 2.3km long, a total of 46km with a competition time of more than 60 minutes.
This year's race has 105 athletes from 15 bicycle clubs across the country and international athletes, creating competition and improving the professional quality of the race.
At the end of the first stage, runner Luic Desriac - Dom UNESCO Dong Thap team won the first prize, runner Nick Kergozou of Vinh Long Agriculture team won the second prize. The 3rd place is athlete Ha Thanh Tam of Pelio Kenda Dong Nai.
Phase 2 departs from Tan Trao historical relic site (Son Duong, Tuyen Quang) tomorrow (April 4) to Vinh Phuc to Dong Anh (Hanoi) with a distance of 130km.
With the theme " Non river continuous in one strip", the race starts from January 3 to April 30 through 25 races across the country. The total route is more than 3,000km.
According to the announced route, after starting in Tuyen Quang, the racing group will race to Hanoi and then towards the Central region. When arriving in Binh Dinh, the group will turn towards the Central Highlands, passing through Gia Lai and Buon Ma Thuot.
Next, the race team returned to the coastal city of Nha Trang, crossed Khanh Le Pass to Da Lat. The runners will go down to the Mekong Delta, through Tay Ninh before finishing in Ho Chi Minh City on April 30, 2025 in front of Thong Nhat Hall.
This year's tournament has a special meaning on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.
