On April 2, a ceremony was held in Hanoi to announce the Standard Chartered Hanoi Marathon Heritage Race 2025, with the theme of Hanoi Heritage. This is an annual tournament held since 2018.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tri - General Director of DHA Vietnam (the owner and direct organizer of the race) - shared: "The 2025 season has a new starting point - a new finish that has never been chosen by a major race in Hanoi.
Looking forward to the future scale of tens of thousands of athletes participating such as competitions in the Standard Chartered Marathon system (Kuala Lumpur 40,000 people, Singapore 50,000 people, Hong Kong - China 70,000 people...)".
Accordingly, the Hanoi Heritage International Marathon is the official race of Hanoi city - a member of the Vietnam Athletics Federation, the Association of International Marathons and Distance Runners (AIMS).
This year, the tournament will take place on November 9, 2025 with 4 distances of 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km. The tournament will have a new running route with starting and finishing points at Quan Ngua Sports Palace (Hanoi).
For the first time, athletes will experience the beautiful, flat finish line of nearly 10km. This is an ideal condition for athletes to accelerate, make breakthroughs, improve personal achievements as well as admire many cultural and historical heritages.
The event is expected to attract the attention of international friends, contributing to making Hanoi a leading marathon destination in Southeast Asia.
