The 2025 Asian Youth Chess Championship officially took place in Bangkok (Thailand). The first quick chess event was played.
In this event, players Dau Khuong Duy and Duong Ngoc Uyen were the two faces that won individual gold medals. In the U14 men's group, Dau Khuong Duy has achieved 6 points after 7 matches, thereby finishing No. 1 overall. Khuong Duy has not lost any games in the rapid chess matches to have 5 wins and 2 draws.
In the U14 women's group, player Duong Ngoc Uyen surpassed her opponents to maintain the No. 1 position with a score of 6.5 points after 7 matches. Ngoc Uyen won 6 and drew 1 in her quick chess matches.
In addition to the above achievement, the Vietnam Youth Chess Team also won 6 other gold medals in team results. At the tournament, the Organizing Committee selected the results of the 3 best players of each team as the final results of the team.
The 2025 Asian Youth Chess Championship will run until November 30. This year's tournament will organize rapid chess, chess and standard chess for men and women in the groups U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and u20.
After the quick chess event, the players are currently playing standard chess. The standard flag also counts the individual and team achievements to award the final medals. The chess event will be played on the last day.
