The chess players of the tournament have finished the 4th game and continue to compete in the 5th game today, June 2nd.
In the 4th set, Pham Tran Gia Phuc was led by the white army in the match against grandmaster Savva Vetokhin. With his composure, Gia Phuc played completely overwhelmingly against his opponent with valuable moves. The set ended with victory for Gia Phuc after 45 moves.
Notably, before Gia Phuc finished the game too quickly, the professional department of the Organizing Committee checked the Vietnamese player to see if they used supporting technology equipment when competing.
The test results showed that Gia Phuc did not use any assistance and competed with his expertise.
After 4 games, Pham Tran Gia Phuc has 3.5 points to temporarily rise to 4th place in the men's group. Temporarily ranked No. 1 is chess player Khubukshanov Erdem (3.5 points).
Also in the men's group, player Dau Khuong Duy is temporarily ranked 52nd with 2.5 points, while Dinh Nho Kiet is temporarily ranked 107th with 1.5 points.
