On the afternoon of March 26, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province organized a meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the sports industry (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2026).

To make physical education and sports in the coming time increasingly towards professionalism and development, the unit must frankly recognize, share and change.

To do that, right in the term, it is necessary to have specific orientations, how to turn sports into a sports industry, towards a sports economy," Mr. Yen said.
The Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shared that the sports sector must change its mindset from "sport spends money" to "sport makes money", build a sports ecosystem, and organize sports tournaments associated with businesses.
In addition, encourage investment and training equipment, infrastructure, training. Build national branded tournaments such as horse racing, running, mountain climbing...


At the same time, find directions to develop new sports industries from Thac Ba Lake, paragliding, closely coordinate with the tourism industry in promoting and attracting investment.
