On the evening of July 12 local time at the competition venue in China, the Vietnamese athletics team competed in the finals of the final events of the 2026 AFC U23 Championship.
Le Thi Tuyet won a bronze medal in the 10,000m women's event. The final event had 5 athletes registered to compete.
In which, Le Thi Tuyet focused on finding opportunities to compete for achievements with her 2 direct opponents, Kana Mizumoto (Japan) and Yiting Yang (China).
At the end of the competition, Le Thi Tuyet finished 3rd with a time of 34 minutes 47 seconds 53, receiving a bronze medal.
In the distance, athlete Mizumoto won a gold medal when she finished first with a time of 33 minutes 24 seconds 87, while the silver medal was Yiting Yang with a result of 33 minutes 43 seconds 54.
Le Thi Tuyet's achievement is the last medal of the Vietnamese Athletics Team at the 2026 AFC U23 Championship. Throughout the tournament, we have won 5 medals.
Individually, Le Thi Tuyet won 2 bronze medals in 2 events she competed in: 5,000m and 10,000m women's.
The remaining medal achievements belong to Ta Ngoc Tuong (silver medal in 400m men's), Le Thi Cam Tu (silver medal in 200m women's) and Ha Thi Thuy Hang (bronze medal in long jump women's).
This is the first time the Asian Athletics Federation has organized the championship of events for the U23 age group.
