The coaching staff of the Vietnamese athletics team continues to give Ta Ngoc Tuong the opportunity to participate in the 2026 AFC U23 Championship held in China.
The Phu Tho male athlete is one of the most professional faces in the men's 400m event at the moment.
Therefore, Ta Ngoc Tuong is given maximum conditions to participate in international tournaments to increase personal achievements.
Recently, Ta Ngoc Tuong competed in the 2026 Asian Relay Championships (also held in China) and together with his teammates won a gold medal in the men's 4x400m relay event. The achievement of 3 minutes 02 seconds 60 of the men's 4x400m relay team in this tournament has been recognized as a new national record of Vietnamese athletics.
Currently, Ta Ngoc Tuong is holding the national record in the men's 400m event with a result of 45 seconds 53.
Ngoc Tuong used to compete at SEA Games 33 in Thailand last year.
In addition to Ta Ngoc Tuong, the Vietnamese athletics team registered 8 other faces to compete in the 2026 AFC U23 Championship, including Ho Trong Manh Hung, Le Thi Cam Tu, Ha Thi Thuy Hang, Le Thi Tuyet Mai, Duong Thi Thao, Nguyen Khanh Linh, Le Thi Tuyet, Hoang Thi Ngoc Anh.
Among these, athlete Ha Thi Thuy Hang won a gold medal in the women's long jump event at the 2026 Asian Beach Games in China in April this year.
According to the organization schedule, the events of the 2026 AFC U23 Championship will take place from July 9 to July 12.
Vietnamese players will go to China before competing on July 5.
