The SEA V.League men's volleyball tournament will take place in two stages. Phase 1 will start from July 9 to July 13 in the Philippines. Phase 2 starts from July 16 to July 20 in Indonesia.
For the Vietnam men's volleyball team, coach Tran Dinh Tien's team will compete with Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Cambodia. After 4 years of organization, in the 5th season, SEA V.League welcomed a new competing country, Cambodia.
Adding one more team compared to last year makes the competition fiercer. The teams will compete in a round-robin to determine the champion.
Currently, the Vietnam men's volleyball team departed for the Philippines early this morning (July 7). Compared to the list of participants in the AVC Nations Cup 2025 at the end of June, the team's lineup only had one change, with captain Pham Van Hiep returning to replace the main striker Duong Van Tien.
This year, the goal of the Vietnam men's volleyball team is to improve the ranking compared to last season. At SEA V.League 2024, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team only ranked 4/4 in both stages.
SEA V.League 2025 is the next important international task of the men's team in the early stages of the year. The coaching staff has high requirements for spirit and cohesion in competition, in order to improve the face of the team after failures in 2024.
