Schedule of the Vietnamese judo team at the 2026 Asian Championship

Vietnamese judo athletes present in China are ready to participate in the 2026 Asian Championships with the goal of striving for the highest results.

The 2026 Asian Championship takes place in China, officially competing from April 16 to April 18. This year, the tournament attracts 197 judo fighters from 19 countries and territories in the continent to participate.

The Vietnamese judo team includes 3 athletes including Ha Ngoc Chi (women's 48kg), Lam Thi Ngan Ha (women's 52kg) and Nguyen Ngoc Diem Phuong (women's 57kg). In each event, 3 Vietnamese athletes were not seeded. Therefore, everyone hopes that the athletes will strive to achieve the best results.

This year, 2 Vietnamese judo athletes who participated in the Olympics, Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy and Hoang Thi Tinh, will not participate in the 2026 Asian Championships.

The Vietnamese judo team is preparing forces for ASIAD 20, 3 faces competing in China this time are martial artists who are being prepared for the Games. Among them, Nguyen Ngoc Diem Phuong is a player who is assessed as having a high ability to achieve results.

According to the announcement from the Organizing Committee of the 2026 Asian Championships, the 48kg women's weight class will have 15 athletes participating, while the 52kg women's weight class has 12 martial artists, while the 57kg women's event has 16 martial artists. All 3 events above will be in the official judo competition program of ASIAD 20 in Japan in September this year.
