Judo female martial artist Hoang Thi Tinh did not participate in this year's team, so the coaching staff had to find a replacement.

The Vietnamese judo team has started professional training in 2026 with 10 martial artists.

During the new year training camp, martial artist Hoang Thi Tinh parted ways with the national team.

2 years ago, Hoang Thi Tinh was the only judo athlete of Vietnamese sports to win an official spot to compete in the Paris Olympics (France) 2024. She competed in the women's 48kg weight class.

At SEA Games 33 just held in Thailand last year, judo did not organize the women's 48kg weight class, so Hoang Thi Tinh could not participate. The female athlete used to train the national team in 2025.

However, at the end of last year, Hoang Thi Tinh got married and got married, so the martial artist is focusing on personal matters at the present time.

To replace the position left by Hoang Thi Tinh, the national team coaching staff focused on martial artist Ha Ngoc Chi to train in the women's 48kg event. This young face is expected to develop professionally well to succeed her senior.

This year, Vietnamese judo fighters will have the opportunity to compete in the 2026 Asian Championship held in May in Bac Ninh.

This is one of the opportunities for Vietnamese judo to show their level against regional opponents right on the home court. In addition, the Vietnamese judo athlete is also preparing for ASIAD 20. In April, the coaching staff will send forces to participate in the 2026 Asian Championships.
