On the first day in Hanoi, 26 players named in the call-up list were fully present, stable in accommodation and started the first training session in the afternoon of the same day.
Speaking before the training session, head coach Mai Duc Chung said: "Currently, 26 athletes have fully concentrated. Some coaches and players of the Ho Chi Minh City team have not been able to participate because they are preparing for the Asian Women's Club Championship taking place in November.
In the coming time, the team will continue to practice at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, with a plan to compete in 3 friendly matches from now until November 20".

According to the plan, from November 20, the women's team will go to Japan for training and is expected to compete in 3 friendly matches with the "blue team" which are clubs with qualifications suitable for the professional ideas of the coaching staff, supported by the Japan Football Federation. After the training session, the team will return to Ho Chi Minh City to get used to similar weather conditions to Thailand, before moving to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
Coach Mai Duc Chung also shared: The team has had many opportunities to compete with strong opponents such as France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and recently the Australian women's youth team in the Southeast Asian tournament.
Although their physical strength and physique are still limited, the Vietnamese players have a resilient and flexible playing spirit. During this period, the coaching staff will increase physical exercises and tactics to improve the ability to compete closely.
Regarding the force, some notable changes have been made. Veteran midfielder Tuyet Dung officially started her coaching work locally, not participating this time. Meanwhile, pillars like Huynh Nhu and Pham Hai Yen are still called up due to their physical and professional quality.

Notably, some young faces were called up to the national team for the first time to replace the absent veterans. In which, Thanh Hieu and Tran Nhat Lan are two names that the coaching staff highly appreciates for their potential and promises to soon integrate with the overall playing style of the whole team.
In another development, 3 players Thai Thi Thao, Duong Thi Van and Ngan Thi Van Su are currently practicing separately to recover from injuries, waiting for the day to return.
The national women's team is aiming to defend the SEA Games Gold Medal, while preparing for international tournaments in 2026.
