Each tournament is a challenge determined to conquer," shooter Trinh Thu Vinh expressed before leaving for the 2025 ISSF World Cup in Munich (Germany).
In terms of expertise, Trinh Thu Vinh started this year with positive results when winning the Gold Medal of the men's and women's team 10m air pistol (with Pham Quang Huy) at the 2025 Asian Championship (February 2025). The above success has continued the good results that Thu Vinh had achieved in 2024 before.
Last year, the female shooter on the People's Public Security Sports Team was honored to be voted to top the list of 10 Outstanding National Athletes 2024 and the Best Female Athlete of the 2024 Victory Cup. She continued to receive the title of Outstanding Young face of Vietnam in 2024 at the ceremony in March 2025.
I attended the 2024 Paris Olympics (France) and won 4th place in the women's 10m air pistol event. During the competition, I encountered a lot of psychological pressure, but when I calmed down, I achieved a certain comfort, Thu Vinh recalled.
Among Vietnamese shooters, Trinh Thu Vinh is considered by many coaches to be a person of courage and showed this when standing on the shooting podium.
Trinh Thu Vinh will continue to train the Vietnam Shooting Team from January 2025. Regularly 2 sessions/day during the training period, the female player and her teammates in the pistol group must complete all the training program given by the Mongolian expert and the coaching staff.
Every training session, each bullet fired must be accurate so that shooters are confident and cannot make mistakes in real competition, Thu Vinh once expressed.

The important goal that the Vietnam Shooting Team is preparing for Trinh Thu Vinh is to achieve a high achievement at the 20th ASIAD in 2026 in Japan. She attended the 19th ASIAD in China but has not won a medal. The Vietnamese shooting team has determined its goal of striving to win the highest medal at the 20th ASIAD, so Trinh Thu Vinh is among the key shooters who are focused on investing in to compete.
The competition and training program conducted by the Vietnam Shooting Team with key shooters (including Trinh Thu Vinh) is to help players build the most effective competitive feeling. ASIAD 20 is a key goal, but the 33rd SEA Games held in December this year will be a place for athletes to demonstrate their mettle. Thu Vinh aims to win a Gold Medal at the 33rd SEA Games.
I won the individual bronze medal in the women's 10m air pistol event and the Gold medal in the men's and women's team event at the 2025 Asian Shooting Tournament, she shared. The tournament will be held in Thailand, and the shooting range will be used for shooting at the 33rd SEA Games. This is also an opportunity for me to get acquainted, experience and grasp the facilities for the upcoming SEA Games.
Vietnam's No. 1 female shooter believes she has enough opportunity to change her color to achieve the best result at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.
Shooter Trinh Thu Vinh is one of the outstanding individuals nominated for honor at the Vinh Quang Vietnam 2025 program.
Vinh Quang Vietnam is a special political - cultural - social event directed by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in coordination with the Central Emulation and Reward Committee, assigned to Lao Dong Newspaper to organize annually since 2004. This year, the program enters its 21st tenure with the theme "Pride and Aspiration", to honor collectives and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the 80 years of building and defending the Fatherland, especially in the fields of digital economy, green economy, innovation and sustainable development.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on June 22, 2025 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, Hanoi.
