On April 7, tennis player Alix Truong marked a new milestone in her career when she officially announced her cooperation with Kamito through an event called "The Pickleball Princess".
The fact that an athlete competing at the PPA Tour system chooses to stick with a Vietnamese brand is considered a noteworthy milestone.
Alix Truong said: "After many times returning to Vietnam, I see pickleball increasingly developing. Vietnamese athletes are gradually approaching the world's high level through top tournaments. This is also the first time I have appeared in Vietnam as a brand ambassador.
Being called a pickleball princess also puts pressure on me. I am a Vietnamese-American tennis player, I didn't think I would be welcomed so warmly".
Alix Truong is currently in the group of athletes with high rankings in the PPA Tour. This player achieved a DUPR of 5.8, ranked 11th in mixed doubles and 17th in women's doubles in the PPA US system.
The achievements she has won include more than 20 medals in various tournaments, including 2 gold medals at PPA Tour Vietnam, 2 gold medals at PPA Hangzhou (China) and runner-up in women's doubles at the Texas Open.
The "The Pickleball Princess" event is organized to introduce Alix Truong's brand ambassador role in Vietnam. This is the first time the tennis player has appeared as an official image representative, after many times participating in domestic tournaments.
Her presence contributes to increasing the attractiveness of the rapidly growing pickleball community.
