Nguyen Duc Chien was born in 1998, he is one of the typical faces that grew up from the Viettel training center, and has been with the army team since 2016.
In 8 seasons, Duc Chien made an important contribution to helping the club get promoted in 2018, win the V.League 2020 and achieve many other achievements. This season, he has been a mainstay in midfield, starting 20/22 matches, scoring 2 goals and having 1 assist.
Duc Chien also played for the U19, U23 and Vietnam national team, won the gold medal at the 2019 SEA Games and participated in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. He is a versatile player, able to play well in both central and defensive midfield positions.
Duc Chien's next destination is said to be Phu Dong Ninh Binh club - rookie of V-League 2025-2026. If the deal is completed, he can reunite with his former teammate Nguyen Hoang Duc and become one of the notable contracts of the transfer period.
