On the afternoon of July 1st, Hanoi Police Club officially announced the contract extension with goalkeeper Nguyen Filip until 2029. The new agreement helps the goalkeeper born in 1992 continue to be associated with the police industry team.
The extension also closes the information that Nguyen Filip may leave V.League to seek opportunities to play in a leading Asian football background, including Japan.
Nguyen Filip joined Hanoi Police Club in July 2023. Since then, he has always been the number one choice in goal and made an important contribution to the team's success.
In the colors of Hanoi Police Club, the goalkeeper with dual Vietnamese and Czech nationality has won many titles with the team in the domestic arena, and at the same time affirmed his position as one of the top goalkeepers in V.League.
Stable form at club level also helps Nguyen Filip become a member of the Vietnamese national team. He participated in the journey to conquer the ASEAN Cup 2024 championship and is increasingly playing an important role under the national team's goal.
The Hanoi Police team assessed Nguyen Filip as a resourceful factor, highly professional and possessing a lot of international competition experience. The team's leadership believes that keeping the 33-year-old goalkeeper is part of the strategy to maintain a quality force to aim for the goal of defending domestic titles, and at the same time preparing for continental arenas in the coming seasons.
According to the new contract, Nguyen Filip will be attached to the Hanoi Police team until 2029, when he turns 37. This is considered a milestone showing the goalkeeper's long-term determination to contribute in the colors of the police team.
