On June 14, 4 swimmers of the Vietnam Swimming Team including Nguyen Huy Hoang, Vo Thi My Tien, Mai Tran Tuan Anh, Nguyen Kha Nhi competed in the 4x1,500m mixed mixed relay event at the tournament.
With concentration to overcome big waves throughout the competition journey, the 4 players successively achieved good results to reach a total time of 57 minutes and 31.7 seconds.
The above results helped the Vietnamese swimming team win a bronze medal in the event.
In this relay competition, the Chinese swimming team won a gold medal with a time of 56 minutes 42.3 seconds. The Korean swimming team won the runner-up title with a silver medal with a result of 57 minutes 07.9 seconds.
The 4x1,500m mixed men's and women's relay race at the 2026 Asian Open Water Championship attracted 11 participating teams.
Thus, in 2 consecutive days at the tournament, Nguyen Huy Hoang and his teammates both won medals. On the first day, Huy Hoang won a silver medal in the men's 5km event, Tuan Anh won a bronze medal in the men's 5km event and My Tien won a bronze medal in the women's 5km event.
This year's tournament will close on June 15. On the last day in Indonesia, athletes will compete in the men's 10km and women's 10km events.
