The final match of the Pro men's singles (professional) of the PPA Asia - MB Vietnam Open 2025 pickleball Tournament took place on the afternoon of September 7 between Phuc Huynh and Ly Hoang Nam - a famous tennis player in Vietnam.
Ly Hoang Nam started impressively in set 1, when he took an early 4-0 lead. However, consecutive fouls gradually caused him to lose his advantage, allowing Phuc Huynh to equalize 4-4, then fall behind 4-7. Despite having time to time-out to adjust the rhythm of the competition, Ly Hoang Nam was still overwhelmed by the opponent and lost 5-11%.
Continuing the excitement from set 1, Phuc Huynh played overwhelmingly at the beginning of set 2, leading the opponent 5-0. Despite their efforts, Li Huangnam could not turn the situation around and was constantly left behind by their opponents in terms of points. In this set, Phuc Huynh beat Hoang Nam 11-1, thereby winning 2-0 to win the championship.
With this result, Phuc Huynh has won a tournament for the first time in the PPA Tour Asia system. Previously, this tennis player won the runner-up position at the PPA Tour Japan. In general, Phuc Huynh's championship is completely deserved as on his journey to the throne, he defeated the men's singles champion in previous stages, Jack Wong in the quarterfinals, Linh Giang in the semi-finals.

PPA Tour Asia is an expanded tournament system from the Professional Pickleball Association (USA), with the goal of bringing pickleball - the fastest growing sport in the US to spread strongly to the Asian region. Choosing Vietnam as the first destination for the PPA Tour Asia - MB Vietnam Open 2025 tournament marks an important turning point in PPA Tour Asia's global strategy.
