PPA Tour Asia is an expanded tournament system from the Professional Pickleball Association (USA), with the goal of bringing pickleball - the fastest growing sport in the US - strongly to the Asian region. Choosing Vietnam as the first destination for the PPA Tour Asia - MB Vietnam Open 2025 tournament marks an important turning point in PPA Tour Asia's global strategy.
The tournament is divided into 2 categories. In the professional category, the tournament will have events including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
Athletes will compete directly in the qualifying round, selecting the top 4 in each event to enter the main competition to compete with the world's and regional top professional pickleball players such as Jack Wong, Meghan Dizon, AJ Koller, Trinh Linh Giang, Ly Hoang Nam, Sophia Phuong Anh, Ken Tam, Alix Truong...
In the amateur category, the tournament is open to many levels of skill and age from U18, over 19 years old, over 35 years old to over 50 years old, bringing opportunities to experience international standard courts and accumulate points in the DUPR system for the pickleball community in Vietnam.
With the cooperation of Masterise Homes and New Sports, in collaboration with the United Pickleball Association, the tournament will take place at City Park, The Global City, Ho Chi Minh City. The stadium consists of 15 courts, divided into 4 clusters, renovated from previous tennis and basketball courts, including 1 completely newly built court cluster according to international standards.
It is expected that the tournament will attract more than 3,000 spectators to the stadium. The organizing committee will also sell tickets to spectators to watch matches, with prices ranging from 130,000 - 750,000 VND depending on ticket class and competition day. This is the first time a pickleball tournament in Vietnam has opened ticket sales to the audience.
PPA Asia Pickleball - MB Vietnam Open 2025 is not only a large-scale international sporting event, but also marks an important development step of the pickleball movement in Vietnam, opening up opportunities for domestic players to integrate with global sports trends.
