On August 13, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien - Standing Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting of the Organizing Committee of the 1st Khanh Hoa Provincial Sports Festival in 2026.
The Congress is a practical activity to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2026) and towards the 81st anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2026).
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the opening ceremony will take place at 8:10 PM on August 21st at 2 April Square, Nha Trang ward.
It is expected that the opening ceremony will have about 300 delegates, guests, 22 parade blocks with 1,101 people and about 500 people participating in synchronized performances and art programs.
The art program with the theme "Khanh Hoa - Rising high, flying far", is built with 3 chapters: "Thousand-year legend - Unleashing the source of strength", "Aspiration to rise high" and "Flying far with the country".
A special point in the 1st Khanh Hoa Provincial Sports Festival in 2026 is that before the opening ceremony, there will be a torch relay program taking place at 7 pm on August 19 at Hung Vuong Temple on Ngo Gia Tu Street, Nha Trang Ward.
Athlete Nguyen Le Hoang Vu will be a typical athlete of Khanh Hoa sports carrying the torch of aspiration.
According to the Organizing Committee, this is the first time the Provincial Sports Festival has organized a fire-asking and torch procession ceremony at Hung Vuong Temple.
The delegation will depart from Phu Dong street, then pass through the Quan Truong River area, Ngoc Hoi intersection, 23 Thang 10 street, Nha Trang Station, Provincial Children's Cultural Palace, 19 Thang 8 Nha Trang Stadium, the area of the Provincial Party Committee headquarters, the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee, the coastal road of Nha Trang Bay and end at Tram Huong Tower.
The activity aims to spread the spirit of sportsmanship, competitive will and the aspiration "Khanh Hoa - Rising high, flying far".
The 1st Khanh Hoa Provincial Sports Festival in 2026 organized 21 sports, attracting the participation of a large number of localities, departments, agencies, branches, armed forces, socio-political organizations, educational institutions and units in the province.
The event also contributes to promoting the movement "All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho", creating an environment for people and athletes to participate in sports activities, thereby improving health and quality of life.
