On the morning of December 10, the Vietnam Sports Delegation had its first medal at the 33rd SEA Games.
Accordingly, in the women's Duo Show Jujitsu event, the pair of athletes Phung Thi Hong Ngoc and Nguyen Ngoc Bich scored 47.5 points, thereby winning the bronze medal, behind the two Thai teams with 50.5 points and 48.5 points.
Sharing about her performance, martial artist Phung Thi Hong Ngoc said: "This score is beyond our expectations. The competition in the qualifying round and final round is quite close together, so there is no impact or problem, there is still time to rest.
In fact, when practicing in the team, the time is much more crowded, but thanks to the exercises of coach Nguyen Minh Phuong, we do not feel tired".

Meanwhile, athlete Nguyen Ngoc Bich expressed: "At this time, I feel very happy to be the first person to win a medal for Vietnamese sports at the 33rd SEA Games.
We won the bronze medal, but promised to continue the next events, the next competition days try to achieve higher results.
Regarding opponents, we have met Thai athletes many times in other tournaments, so we still played comfortably, without any worries or stresses even though we played in the other country. The two of us can only try to get the highest score, the best spirit".
